NS2(NETWORK SIMULATOR 2)

For the research process in technology field the network simulator 2 is the most popular simulator. It is an open source simulator and freely available. It is simulator comprised of the combination of C++ and Tcl/OTcl. C++ for data processing and internal mechanism and OTcl for control the triggering, simulating and manipulating the C++ objects i.e. it handles the front end. NS2 is developed at UC Berkeley for protocols designing and traffic managing in data transferring. Linux, Solaris, Windows and Mac OS X all get compatible to this NS2.
